Pilot
My name is Ricki Racker and I am a Private Pilot. I soloed on my 16th
Birthday! I am a senior in high school and I currently live in Jupiter, Florida
on an airpark. I moved to Florida about 6 years ago from Brooklyn New York.
I have a Jack Russell Terrier and her name is Skylie.
My dad has been my greatest role model. He has supported me in every way
possible in order for me to reach my dream. Ever since I was little, we always
go flying together. While living in Brooklyn, I remember driving out to
Republic Airport to go flying on Sundays. We have years of memories flying
to new places including the Bahamas and Canada.
Becoming a Private Pilot was the greatest task that I ever accomplished. I
learned that I can do absolutely anything I put my mind to.
I took lessons at North County Airport (F45) with an awesome instructor,
Joe Gemma. I flew a Cessna 152, N6641H at Sunquest Aviation. Now I have
my own Cessna 152, N5174B.
Flying will always be a hobby, something I do for fun. As a senior in high
school, I am applying to various colleges to determine what I want to do for
the rest of my life. Currently I am working on my instrument training. I hope
to one day run my own aviation related business.
I get a bunch of reactions from people when they learn that I am a pilot. The
two most common questions are, "So you can like really fly all by yourself?"
or "Did you actually land all by yourself?"
