Girls With Wings Aviation Donation Information 2008

"I decided to donate funds to the GWW scholarship shortly after learning of
the passing of a wonderful friend of mine, Mr. Jeff Baker. I couldn't think of
a better way to celebrate the lifes work of this extraordinary man than to
help some deserving young person to further their dream of flight. Jeff and
school located at the Chino Airport (CNO) in Chino, California where I was the
Airport Manager. Jeff gave up his career with the State of California to start
Alliance & fulfill his dream of teaching others to fly.

Jeff was a incredible flight instructor, and the skies across Southern
California are filled with the hundreds and hundreds of men and women
whom he trained to fly. When I decided to change careers and become a
professional airline pilot, it was Jeff who helped me formulate my training
plans & help me on my way. His office walls were covered with photographs
of the pilots that he had trained who are now sitting in the cockpits of
airliners all across the globe.

Jeff was a incredible instructor, but far more importantly...he was a incredible
person. Owning a flight school means long hours, low pay and endless
aggravation. Jeff got all of these in spades! Jeffs wealth cannot be found in
a checkbook, but rather in the friendships that he left far and wide. Jeff had
a naturally easy going way about him that made him a favorite around the
airport. He was a friend to everyone who ever met him and I never heard
anyone speak a cross word about him. He was impeccably honest, a good
family man & a devout Christian. He was one of the richest men I have ever
known! He is missed!"
