We honor the Women Air Force Service Pilots who
paved the way for those who have followed in their flight
paths. This year marks the 65th anniversary of the WASP.

htm. Deanie Parrish was one of the first Girls With Wings™

Thanks to all that stopped by the GWW™ booth.
We asked the 3200 Women in Aviation attendees to
be role models and mentors for future Girls With
Wings™ and received a great response. Many people
gave us or mailed their bio outline and I’m still
working on typing them all up.  Don’t forget to send
us your picture; we need it to put your story on the
Message Board Question of the Month. Please go to either the Girls With
Wings™ or Generate LIFT™ forum to answer this question on the minds of the up
and coming: How did you afford your training/education to reach your goal?
Grants, Loans, Military (like me), working to pay step by step, etc.? Future GWWs
need to know!

Meet the Newest Girls With Wings!
Theresa: “Currently I'm still in school, but my goal is to be an
astronaut for NASA. It'll be tough, but it's my dream and I know
that if I stay dedicated to myself, I can do it! So far I've learned
that sometimes the training is tough, but it's worth it to keep
going. ” Read more:

Alexandria and the Blue Angels. A typical request via the website: “Hello! My
name is Alexandria and I am fifteen. For about two years I've wanted to be a
Blue Angels Pilot. I plan to attend the Naval Academy in Maryland. My question
is, do you know who I could contact or where I could go regarding finding a
female mentor who has gone through a similar process? Any help would be
greatly appreciated! Thank you!” I am proud to say that several GWWs stepped
up to offer their assistance. Keep us posted on the progress!
The Arrival of Penelope Pilot™ Doll is getting ever closer. We’re
still working on the final details. We will let you know as soon as she
is available for purchase! We’re also looking for book authors/
illustrators to help announce her with a short book. Can you help?
Oshkosh AirVenture It’s just around the corner. We are always looking for
people interested in helping out with the Girls With Wings™ booth in exchange for
a free bunk in our camper. It’s not luxurious digs, but it sure is fun. Let me know
if you are interested in helping.
