Make the Game for your event! I've had a lot of inquiries about the Flight Instrument “game” that I often mention
on the website and the newsletters. I use it for when I meet with the Girl Scouts, but it could be used for a variety of
venues and ages. Unfortunately, the game is not available for purchase so you need to make it yourself. Feel free to
email me if you have any questions. What's great about this "game" is that it uses aviation, air traffic control,
teamwork, and communication skills. There is no way to win or lose, but as of yet, I have not had any complaints!

Looking for Volunteers in May: On May 12th, there is a Girls’ Career Fair in Mansfield, MA (30 minutes southwest of
Boston) needing a female pilot to describe their vocation. These events are so rewarding; as a spokesperson you get
to interact directly with those who may follow in your footsteps! Please ask around to others if you can’t make it.

My First Tours as a Beechjet Pilot are summarized on the Girls With Wings blog (when I
get the opportunity)
http://thegirlswithwingsblog.blogspot.com.  I am having a blast flying
the thing – it’s faster for one, and for another, has a lesser range than the Citation V I
was flying (in other words, I don’t have to sit still for so long!). It’s good to switch into a
new airplane every once in a while; keeps the pilot skills sharp!
Carolyn: Once I stopped believing that girls could not be pilots I became one.  I have met
wonderful people in the general aviation community that rooted me on, helped me study, and
flew with me to practice maneuvers.  I don't discourage anyone from fulfilling their dreams.
You never know what you can accomplish unless you try!  I learned how magnificent it is to be
in the air.  I also enjoy learning how to maintain the aircraft.  I don't let the guys in the hangar
'help' me do things.  I like to be hands on and do not mind being dirty or maybe "breaking a
nail.”

Nicole, First Female Thunderbird Pilot: The best part of my job is having the honor of
representing so many talented people in our Air Force...it is very humbling. It is also a huge
responsibility, and one I take very seriously. I can think of no higher an honor than to be asked to
represent our Air Force and our country...that, simply put, makes it fun. The best part of my job is
meeting so many people from all over the country, and the world, and sharing the triumph of the
Air Force story with them. Plus...the flying is quite a fun challenge as well!
